Osho @ Library

The third sem was finally over (i mean after the EW open house), and i thought i would finish off the foundation series. one book was left. i was so bored during the exams, that i read 3 of the 7 books on my pc (i know, heights of depression, but it was exam time). so, i decided to go to the library and issue the last book. i also wanted to spend some quality time with a newspaper (the last time i had read one was a month back, at home). i mean, why read a newspaper if theres nothing interesting in it. well, hyderabad times sucks, its got barely 6 pages, and bombay times has 12 =). by interesting, i mean “interesting” not the mere word interesting. so, whatever, i went to the library…

And being extra bored with my pc (and all other pcs too for that matter), i thought i waould finish some other half-finished books in the lib. so, purely out of sickening desperation, i decided to go through all the other books in search of something interesting or half-finished. and i counted FIVE books of Osho. now, i had very little idea what all this Osho-mania was. and as i knew nothing on the topic, i could barely even have an unbiased view. so, out of plain curiosity (and the deep-rooted urge to somehow blow up time on something which didnt resemble a computer), i started reading a book of his. why curiosity? well, some fodu ppl seem pretty interested in his philosophy. (whatever that is, im not much for philosophy), a few examples being a couple of friends back home. and not to mention the maintainer of our blogroll (among other things). so, i take up a book and start reading…

while im not so crazy as to write shit like a review (me? review? rofl) or even a “critics column” (wtf ever that is), i gotta say all this Osho-stuff is too … philosophical for me. while i dont remember the name of the book i read. come on, i dont read titles. i remember this one time, i was reading an agatha christie book in the library, had finished half of it the previous day. and the next day, not just could i not remember the title, name of characters (i rem 2 out of the 10-11) and the colour of the book, but i nearly forgot the authors name (i didnt notice, call it whatever you want). in the end, i somehow found the book, by its cover-photo =). yeah, whatever, back to Osho…

This book i was reading was filled with …. jokes. i dont want to risk the ire of Osho’s extra-zealous fans, hence i shall refrain from calling them PJs (of the LOL variety, not COL, thankfully). lets just say … the book had lots of joke-attempts. i havent even read half the book, but thats the impression i got. and his philosophy doesnt really have me all jumping in ecstacy with my toes twingling with anticipation (by ecstacy, i dont mean the drug, COL right there). but hey, if his stuff is for you, go ahead worship him. if you hate him, go ahead, pour out all your venom on him. if you tried reading his philosophy, are indifferent to it (like me) and couldnt care either way, join the club.

onto another topic im getting pretty pissed-off with these constant changes in time table. well, if 15-20 % of the class wants a change of timings, im all for the change. but when a couple of ppl in ece want to take cse courses, and change the timetable (of 35-40 ppl) for that, it gets fcukin annoying. by courses, i dont just mean ONE measly cse course, i mean shit-loads of them, like THREE or something. taking one course could be attributed to “personal interest”. but when those vidiots want to change the timings of a flexi-core course (for ece, class of 35-40) for some cse elective (which is in no way is related to ece, best of my limited knowledge), you just feel like dissing at every1 in sight and flicking them as a follow through.

hmm… and thats not the only reason im getting pissed. first a mail saying i can register for 28 credits (i register for 26) ,then a mail saying it has to be 20 at max (with 2 extra project credits, with SPECIAL permission). whoevers bright idea this was, FCUK you!

thats next on my hitlist …
